Stormwater
Research conducted by CASRM and Old Dominion University has
provided what is likely the most complete evaluation of the
relationship between stormwater runoff and water quality for
a floating drydock. This effort has led to the development
of a computer model for predicting particulate and dissolved
contaminant mobilization from a drydock surface. A report
characterizing stormwater regulatory requirements and management
practices was also developed from visits to major shipyards
along the Atlantic, Gulf, and Pacific coasts.
