TBT in Shipyard Washwaters
Tributyltin (TBT) removal from shipyard washwaters and sonar
dome water has been studied for over three years using full-scale
field treatment, laboratory bench-top treatment, and both
field and laboratory pilot-scale treatment processes. This
work is ongoing and progress and final reports as well as
proceedings papers are provided. Treatment efforts have included
coagulation, clarification, filtration, GAC adsorption, UV
irradiation, membranes, and ozonation.
