The Computational Engineering Research Cluster is composed of faculty and staff members at ODU whose research interests are in the area of computational engineering and science.  While this research cluster is organized within the Batten College of Engineering, members of departments outside the College also participate in the Cluster.  The objective of the Cluster is to foster cross-department synergy that will broaden the research capabilities of the ODU faculty and staff.  For example, early discussions have focused on developing ideas for research topics (and proposals) that involved multi-disciplinary research.  The goal is to develop new research opportunities that might not have resulted without cross-department involvement such as this Cluster.
