Dr.Oscar R. Gonzalez

Associate Professor

Ph.D., University of Notre Dame. Multivariable system and control theory, robust control system design, nonlinear control system, and artificial intelligence applications.

Received his BS degree from the University of Idaho in 1982, the MS and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Notre Dame in 1984 and 1987, respectively; all in electrical engineering. He was a Graduate Assistant, Senior Teaching Fellow, and Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Notre Dame during 1983-1986, 1986-1987, and 1987-1988, respectively. His research interests include multivariable system and control theory, robust control system design, nonlinear control systems, and artificial intelligence applications in the control of systems. Dr. Gonzalez joined Old Dominion University as an Assistant Professor in the Fall of 1988, and is currently an Associate Professor.
