Dr. Shu Xiao

Assistant Professor 

Dr. Shu Xiao received the B.S. degree in Physics from Gannan Teacher College, Jiangxi, China. From 1996 to 2001, he was in a Master-Ph.D. joint program in microwave electronics in the University of Electronic Science and Technology, Chengdu, Sichuan. He obtained the Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from Old Dominion University in 2004.

Prior to joining ECE Department, Old Dominion University as an Assistant Professor, Dr. Xiao had worked as a Postdoc Research Associate and Research Assistant Professor at Frank Reidy Research Center for Bioelectrics, Norfolk, VA, where he conducted researches in pulsed power and bioelectrics. 

His current research interests include high power electromagnetics,  bioimaging with ultrafast pulses, pulsed power, bioelectrics and electrical discharge phenomena in liquid.
