ECE's Dr. Mounir Laroussi's latest collaborative paper on plasma bullets is making some waves

The paper, titled "Experimental Investigations of the Plasma Bullets" by N. Mericam-Bourdet, M. Laroussi, A. Begum, and E. Karakas, was published in the " Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics", Vol. 42, 2009. The paper presents experimental evidence of the formation and propagation of cold plasma bullets. For the first time they reveal that the physical structure of these bullets, which turned out to have a ring/donut shape. These tiny plasma bullets are emitted by their device, the "Plasma Pencil".
