My favorite memory is helping the American Society Civil Engineering Student Chapter raise funding for their entry for the National Steel Bridge Competition in 1999. The students went on to win the state competition and then to compete for the national championship at the University of Alaska. The Chapter competed for the national championship in 2000 as well. Now, Old Dominion is considered a national leader in bridge design. I am proud to have been a part of this effort. |
