Dr. Lin’s CV

Dr. Lin received BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from National Cheng-Kung University of Taiwan, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Dr. Lin is currently serving as a professor and MET Program Director of Engineering Technology Department, F. Batten College of Engineering and Technology, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA.


Prior to joining ODU Dr. Lin had six years of industrial experience in CAD/CAM, jig & fixture design, and CNC programming. Dr. Lin is a registered Professional Engineer of Virginia. He teaches Machine Design, CAD, CNC, Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning (GD&T), Automation Control, and Robotics and is active in local industrial research, teaching training courses for local industries and PE reviews, and consultation. He has published fifteen journals, twenty four proceedings, two technical papers, and ten technical reports in robotics, automation control, GD&T, and other applied researches. In addition, he has co-authored one patent.
